Savasana is probably one of my favorite yoga poses. I think I love it so much because it’s a restorative pose that allows me to simply lay on my back and do nothing but breathe. Really just be in the moment. Savasana is challenging because most people find it hard to lay still with absolutely no movement.

Savasana is important!!
The root chakra is located at the base of the spine and draws energy from the earth. Savasana is a grounding pose that stimulates the root chakra. Your root chakra is related to survival, power, security, courage and resilience, savasana activates the power to heal your root chakra empowering you to face whatever life brings your way.
Savasana is like taking a mini vacation from life laying in this pose allows us to recharge our bodies. It’s the time we need to recharge and recover from day to day activities. For some savasana maybe the only time they can lay still and reap the benefits.
